WWDC 2024: What to Expect

Just like clockwork, Apple announced that WWDC will be held in early June. And this year it will be from June 10 to June 14. There hasn’t been any theme announced yet, but there are some hints of things that might come based on what Apple executives say and the general industry trends. Hardware Updates WWDC is usually not the place the Apple does hardware updates, but every other year or so, they do drop new hardware.

M2 Ultra vs Nvidia RTX 4090

The M2 Ultra and the RTX 4090 represent flagship products from Apple and Nvidia, each bringing their best performance to the table. However, the approach from each company couldn’t be any more different. Nvidia is what one considers the “old school” of thinking where you specialize in doing one thing and doing it very well, by any means necessary. Battle of M2 Ultras: Mac Studio 2023 vs Mac Pro 2023

Apple finally updated the Mac Pro in WWDC 2023, thus completing the transition from Intel processors to their own Apple Silicon. It is the only Apple product designed to be user-replaceable internal components. It is the only product that Apple designed not for consumers, but as a professional tool. Despite being the anomaly in the range of Apple products, it is considered to be the pinnacle and ultimate expression of what an Apple product should be.

Dude, Where's My Mac Pro?

When Apple announced that they are moving away from Intel to their own solution called Apple Silicon, they promised that the transition will take them around 2 years. The first Apple Silicon hit the streets in December 2020 with the introduction of the M1 on the Mac Mini, MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. As we are closing December (and 2022), Apple managed to update all their Macs to Apple Silicon save for two: the Mac Pro and the space gray Mac Mini.

Mac Pro Setup Guide: The Bests are All In

One of the most anticipated Mac transitions from Intel to Apple Silicon would be Appleā€™s ultimate expression of the Mac: the Mac Pro. Since the introduction in WWDC 2019 to its release in late 2019 to today, there are many supporters and detractors of the Mac Pro. Some say that it is unnecessary, expensive and over engineered. Others lauded for its expandability and usefulness.
