The question if an SSD upgrade is worth it? If you are coming from a conventional disk platter hard disk, then the answer is yes, absolutely. Do it now.
I have a Lenovo T410 (like the one above) that I’ve about from corporate fire sale which cost $50. Yes, this laptop is from 10-years ago where Intel started to market their processor by i3, i5 and i7 cores. Spent another $50 for a 512GB SSD and install Linux on it, the computer is blazing fast. It won’t win benchmark awards but it’s more than enough for youtube, google classroom (I’m using it for as additional laptop for my kids online class because 2020) and general website browsing.
