Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ is the updated version of 888. It is basically an improved version of the 888 with a slightly faster base clock speed of 3.0 GHz instead of 2.84GHz in the base 888. There is no new cores introduced in the SOC but any code compiled for 888 will works seamlessly for 888+.

The 888+ was unveiled in Barcelona at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in 2021. As mentioned earlier, the 888+ is basically a higher speed version of the 888. Everything else is basically the same. The graphic, AI and image processing core are of the same design.

As of July 2021, there’s no phone that is running SnapDragon 888+ yet although there’s a few manufacturers like ASUS, Honor and Xiami has promised to release 888+ phones by second half of 2021. There’s rumors that Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Fold 3 will also use this processor.
